Will's eyes opened as he stared up at the vaulted ceiling. He lifted his head and yawned. "Ugh." he moaned, holding his head. As his vision came into focus, he looked around the room, his clothes were scattered around the room, he pulled back the covers, noticing that he was in the nude. He stood up and cracked his back, "That was fun..." he said. Will walked over to his boxers, which were discarded on the floor, he picked them up and put them on. He looked over at the computer console, and knew what he had to do.
He at down in the chair, facing the console... He stared at it... After several minutes of looking at it, he pressed the button, "Brigadier General Adam Fletcher, Gemini Station, Gamma Quadrant." Will finally said. The young ensign, patched Will through. The Star Fleet Delta was replaced with the Genesis Fleet Logo, once in command of his great uncle Steve, was now in command of his father.
Soon the delta was replaced with an image of his father, clothed just as much as Will was. "Hey Dad." Will said. "Hey Will, what's up?" Adam said in response, "Wasn't expecting a call from you so early, and I see you're at the house." Will nodded, "Yeah, I'm at the house." he said, looking at his father's attire, "I see you're dressed just as well as I am, but I think I look better." he chuckled. Adam replied, "Heh, yeah well I looked better than you at your age... But now I'm and old man." he laughed.
"So, what do I owe the pleasure LIEUTENANT." Adam said, with emphasis on Will's new rank. "Well... I eh..." Will said, he lowered his head and looked up at Adam, his hand behind his head. "Oh no..." Adam thought to himself, he knew that face... He knew Will had something important, something possibly bad to tell him... "What is it Will? Spit it out..." Adam said, "Well.. Um... You know First Lieutenant Caven Hassan-Gosslier..." Will said, still scratching his head. "Well of course, he's General Gosslier's son. I'm good friends with his parents, they were my supperiors on the Hyperion. And yeah, he's your best friend and was your roommate at the Academy. Of course I know him." Will looked at him, a serious look came across his face, "Well... Back at the Academy, he and I had sex..." he said, the secret was out...
Adam just stared at Will... "You did what?" he asked... "How could you do that? I mean.. He's your best friend... And we're Catholic... You know that..." he said. Will shook his head, "What? How can you say that to me. I didn't think I would get this response from you... You and Mom raised me to love who I wanted... And abouth Catholism, you and mom had me out of wedlock, so don't talk to me about going against the Church..." he said.
Adam looked at him, rage started to well up, he didn't like being talked back to, especially from his son, "WE got married so you wouldn't be a bastard child, so you would have a normal life. We loved, and still love each other... But we sacrificed everything for you... I took a station position for you, I tried my best.." he said, passion littered his voice, he clearly loved Will.
"Dad, you know I love you and mom, but... I'm my own man, I'm not a sixteen year old kid. I'm twenty three years old, and I am a Star Fleet Officer, a Commanding officer. I'm two years younger than you when you had me... I love Caven... He's the one for me." Will said, clenching his right hand as he spoke.
Silence came across the two of them... Adam broke the silence, "I guess... If you're happy... Then I'm happy..." Adam said, laboring through each word... Will smiled, "Thanks Dad." he said. Adam looked at him, "So... You're gay." he said. "Not exactly Dad.." Will said, "I'm bisexual, I still like women." Adam interjected, "But guys too..." Will rolled his eyes, "Yeah Dad..." he said. "Well alright..." Adam said, "I guess I should let you go enjoy your shoreleave... I'll let you tell your mother later... Not sure how I can tell her than just to spill it out. Well, it's your decision to make." Will looked at him, "Thanks Dad..." he said, "Bye."
Adam returned the look, and in the split second, the two of them looked exactly alike, "Cya Will..." he said, as he closed the channel. His face was replaced with the Star Fleet Delta... Will leaned back in the chair, his hands behind his head... "Well I told my Dad that I love Cave and that I'm Bi..." he said to himself, "Now I gotta tell him that..." He stood up and walked over to the door... He opened it and walked out into the hallway.
